Our journey began when Autumn, feeling a deep pull toward nature and design, went back to school to study horticulture. She never imagined that this path would lead to SassyGrass, but after excelling in her landscape design classes and with the support of her husband Don, the dream took root. Starting with a small landscaping service, we poured our hearts into every project; as clients resonated with our attention to quality and detail, SassyGrass grew into a full-service operation to include fencing, tree work, and so much more.

It all started when Autumn pursued a degree in horticulture and landscape design, where she quickly discovered a talent for creating outdoor environments that were both stunning and sustainable.
What began as a college project, drafting landscape blueprints and experimenting with different plant selections, soon grew into something much bigger. Autumn saw firsthand how thoughtful design could transform not just a yard, but the way people experience their outdoor spaces. Fueled by this passion, she and Don set out to create a company that would blend design expertise with hands-on craftsmanship, ensuring every project—from privacy fences to tree care—was done with heart and intention.
