Thoughtful Landscape Overhaul

SassyGrass undertook a complete redesign of this outdoor space, honoring sentimental plants while creating a more harmonious and functional landscape. After years of self-designed landscaping that resulted in overcrowding and mismatched plant sizes, this project focused on starting fresh while preserving cherished memories.
Work Performed:
Sentimental Transplants: Carefully relocated a meaningful rose bush received after the passing of the homeowner’s mother and lilies from her mother’s house to more suitable, prominent spots in the garden.
Shrubbery and Stump Removal: Cleared all overgrown and improperly sized plants in front of the house while preserving a healthy blue atlas cedar. The cedar was pruned to raise its canopy above the porch roofline, enhancing the home’s curb appeal.
Soil Enrichment: Added a nutrient-rich layer of compost to rejuvenate the soil and prepare it for new plantings.
Proper Plant Selection: Installed a curated selection of plants suited to the space and environment, ensuring a balanced and visually appealing design.
This thoughtful transformation balanced practicality and emotion, creating a beautiful outdoor space that reflects the homeowner’s vision and honors their family’s legacy.
