Backyard Retreat Makeover

This Moore, Oklahoma, backyard was transformed into an inviting, functional space perfect for a family with young children. SassyGrass addressed the customer’s drainage issues, expanded their backyard, and created a safe, beautiful area for play and relaxation.

Work Performed:

Drainage Solution: Completely reconstructed an old drainage system with undersized piping. Hand-trenched around large tree roots and an existing irrigation system to install larger French drains with gutter connections, leading water out to a street popup drain.

Walkway Redesign: Removed outdated walkways and replaced them with elegant flagstone paths, complemented by chopped stone edging for a polished look.

Landscape Edging Update: Replaced old brick edging along the fence with durable and visually cohesive stone edging.

Fence Expansion: Removed the old fence and extended the fence line to include the side yard, creating a larger, unified backyard space.

Grass and Soil Improvement: Raised soil levels over exposed tree roots and added lush zoysia grass for a soft, child-friendly lawn.

Shrub Transplanting: Carefully relocated large existing shrubs to align with the new fence.

Comprehensive Cleanup: Ensured the entire yard was neat, functional, and ready to enjoy.
